Because so many people ask me what the name means, I think I will start off by explaining.
The first time I worked on a farm I was 15 and I was helping to build a barn. Since then I’ve been hooked and have worked few places that don’t involve my hands in the dirt. The long hours of exhaustion and excitement of garlic harvesting have haunted my dreams for a long time now, crept into my writing, and filled pages of books. So when I went looking to name my studio, Garlic Harvest seemed appropriate. The work is difficult, but somehow–as I say this having harvested garlic more than once–poetic, beautiful.
